General Staff of Ukraine Confirms Attack on Russian Oil Refinery and Pumping Stations

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed a successful strike on critical Russian energy infrastructure, severely impacting the enemy’s fuel supply lines. The precision attack targeted the Ilya oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region, along with the Kropotkinskaya and Andreapol oil pumping stations. The strike resulted in large fires and significant damage, which will complicate the Russian military’s logistics and fuel distribution.

Ukrainian Defence Forces carried out the operation with the goal of disrupting the aggressor’s ability to sustain its war efforts. The Ilya refinery, a crucial facility for fuel processing, was set ablaze, leading to extensive damage. Additionally, the Kropotkinskaya and Andreapol pumping stations, essential for the transportation of fuel to Russian military units, were also disabled. These strategic strikes have rendered the infrastructure inoperable, dealing a significant blow to Russia’s ability to maintain fuel supplies for its occupying forces.

The Ukrainian General Staff has reiterated the nation’s right to target military and logistical assets that sustain Russia’s unlawful war. The military command has warned that further operations will continue to weaken the enemy’s war machine, ensuring that vital infrastructure supporting Russia’s invasion is neutralised.

Targeted Facility Location Impact
Ilya Oil Refinery Krasnodar, Russia Large fire, severe damage
Kropotkinskaya Pumping Station Russia Disabled, fuel logistics disrupted
Andreapol Pumping Station Russia Out of commission

Ukraine’s actions align with its strategy of systematically dismantling the infrastructure that enables Russian aggression. The General Staff emphasised that the country remains committed to defending its sovereignty by targeting assets that fuel the enemy’s war effort. These strikes not only hinder the occupiers but also send a strong message that Ukraine will not allow Russia’s war machine to operate unchallenged.

The National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine has confirmed that these operations are part of a broader campaign to weaken Russia’s ability to sustain its invasion.
