Over 150 Families Receive Aid to Restore Homes in Kryvyi Rih After Russian Bombing

More than 150 families in Kryvyi Rih have received building materials to repair their homes following a Russian missile strike that caused widespread damage. The assistance was provided through support hubs set up immediately after the attack. These hubs continue to distribute essential materials, including OSB boards, plastic sheeting, wooden beams, tarpaulin, nails, and other supplies.

Municipal teams are working to help residents, particularly the elderly and those with limited mobility, with the rebuilding process. In addition to material support, more than 150 applications for financial aid have been submitted and are being processed by the city authorities. Nearly 6,000 square metres of plastic sheeting, around 1,000 OSB boards, and over 600 beams have already been distributed.

The missile strike shattered over 700 windows and caused significant damage to 14 apartment buildings, 10 private houses, a rapid tram station, four educational institutions, six businesses, and critical heating infrastructure. Repair and cleanup operations are ongoing, with municipal services fully engaged in the effort.

The attack, carried out by Russian forces, left 14 people injured, including two children. The impact of the strike has once again highlighted Russia’s ongoing campaign of destruction against Ukrainian cities.
