Explosions in Volgograd: Unrest Near Russian Oil Refinery

A series of powerful nighttime explosions shook the Russian city of Volgograd and its surrounding areas, causing widespread alarm among residents. Reports indicate that Russian air defence systems were engaged in targeting drones approaching an oil refinery in the Krasnoarmeyskiy district. The explosions, which began around 3:15 a.m., were accompanied by bright flashes lighting up the night sky and loud blasts that activated car alarms in residential areas.

Eyewitnesses in multiple districts, including Krasnoslobidsk and Kirovsky, reported hearing at least seven explosions, with some accounts suggesting the number may be even higher. Despite the intensity of the blasts, no official reports of casualties or damage have been released.
