KYIV, February 11, 2025 – Agents from the ATES guerrilla group have uncovered a hidden Russian military warehouse at a seized enterprise in the Kherson region in the latest revelation from Ukraine’s resistance movements. The warehouse, which was intended to store military equipment, contains military trucks and BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles. The facility is reportedly being guarded by an occupation platoon, further highlighting the extent of Russian military operations in the region.
The ATES guerrilla group revealed that despite the efforts of the Russian forces to conceal their movements by relocating the equipment only at night, the ATES agents were able to detect the unusual activity. The agents were able to track the movement and uncover the hidden warehouse, dealing a blow to the occupiers’ attempts at secrecy.
In addition to military equipment, the Russian occupiers have been seizing private property across the region, including businesses, homes, and warehouses. These civilian structures are then repurposed for military use, turning them into bases and storage areas for Russian forces. This act of appropriation is a blatant violation of the Geneva Convention, which prohibits the use of private property for military purposes in occupied territories.
The ATES group condemned these actions as war crimes and vowed that the perpetrators would be held accountable. All relevant information regarding the hidden warehouse and the stolen property has been forwarded to Ukrainian Defence Forces for further action. The continued abuse of civilian infrastructure by Russian forces is expected to intensify as they seek to strengthen their positions in the occupied territories.
The occupation of Kherson has led to an increase in resistance from local civilians and partisans, and these operations reveal the ongoing resilience of the Ukrainian people despite the oppression they face. The uncovering of such military caches and the acts of sabotage by the ATES group show that the Russian forces are not only fighting a conventional war but are also dealing with an increasingly effective and resourceful Ukrainian resistance.
