Russian Oil Depot in Flames After Ukrainian Drone Strike in Saratov (Video)

Ukraine has once again targeted Russian military infrastructure with a precision drone strike on a major oil refinery in Saratov, a region deep inside Russia. The attack, reportedly carried out by Ukrainian kamikaze drones, resulted in an explosion and fire at the facility, which plays a crucial role in supplying fuel to the Russian military.

Local Telegram channels confirmed the attack, stating that air defence systems were activated, and some drones were allegedly shot down. However, the strike caused significant damage to the refinery, a strategic asset that has been attacked multiple times this year. Officials have not reported any casualties at this time.

Saratov region, located approximately 1,000 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, is home to vital Russian military infrastructure. Following the refinery strike, explosions were also reported in Engels, a city known for hosting a major Russian airbase. This airbase has previously been the target of Ukrainian strikes, underscoring the vulnerability of Russia’s deep rear positions.

Fuel shortages have been a persistent issue for Russian forces, and these operations could further disrupt their logistics.
