Russian troops launched a series of attacks on Sumy, injuring two people and causing significant damage to both industrial and residential areas.
On the evening of January 21, 2025, Russian forces carried out drone strikes in the Sumy region, targeting the village of Nedryhailiv and the city of Sumy itself. The first attack occurred in Nedryhailiv, located in the Romny district, where a UAV hit a production building, resulting in two people being wounded. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, and the injured were provided with medical care.
Later in the evening, after 9 p.m., another Russian drone attack struck the residential sector of Sumy city. This assault damaged several private homes, though preliminary reports suggest no casualties in this instance. Local authorities and rescue teams are continuing to assess the extent of the damage and ensure that the victims receive assistance.
