Ukraine Advances: Counteroffensive Underway Near Toretsk and Pokrovsk (VIDEO)

Kyiv – Ukrainian forces have launched counteroffensive operations near Toretsk and Pokrovsk, successfully stabilising positions and improving their tactical situation. Analysts from the Ukrainian platform DeepState report that the situation in the Pokrovsk area has changed in Ukraine’s favour, with defensive lines holding strong and Russian supply chains under increasing strain.

Russian forces are struggling with logistical issues, including difficulties in troop rotations, evacuation of wounded soldiers, and ammunition resupply. Despite these setbacks, Russia continues its assault operations due to its large reserves of personnel. Reports from the BBC confirm that the pace of Russian advances has slowed significantly with the arrival of spring, while Ukrainian forces have gained momentum and carried out successful counterattacks, reclaiming small but strategic areas.

In Pokrovsk, Ukrainian troops have pushed back Russian units and restored their positions. A Russian military blogger who delivers supplies to the front admitted that logistics are being disrupted and that troop numbers are insufficient. The situation near Chasiv Yar follows a similar pattern, with Russian forces struggling to maintain supply lines while Ukrainian forces increase pressure. Ukrainian troops have successfully driven Russian forces out of Kotlino near Pokrovsk, marking an important tactical victory.

Toretsk has become the site of intense urban combat, with Ukrainian forces launching renewed counterattacks. Although Russia had previously claimed control over the city, Ukrainian units have reportedly made breakthroughs, engaging in firefights near the city centre. Russian forces have begun deploying elements of the 8th Army in an attempt to hold their positions.
