Ukrainian forces have successfully destroyed a Russian military workshop where marines from the 155th Brigade were reinforcing their armoured vehicles. The operation was carried out by the reconnaissance company of the 47th Separate Mechanised Brigade, known as “Magura,” which used a Fly Eye 3.0 drone to locate the target. Once the workshop was identified, HIMARS units from neighbouring Ukrainian units launched an attack, completely demolishing the facility.
The 47th Brigade shared a video of the strike, stating: “They wanted to improve their armour but only succeeded in improving the statistics of their losses.” The footage showed the Russian marines working on their vehicles, attempting to weld additional armour for protection. However, the HIMARS strike not only destroyed the workshop but also left the Russian forces with significant equipment losses. The brigade commented further, suggesting that if Russian marines needed to weld their armoured personnel carriers just to keep them from falling apart, then the real problem might not be the armour itself but rather their overall combat readiness and effectiveness.
The use of Fly Eye 3.0 reconnaissance drones was instrumental in locating the enemy’s so-called “garage of talents,” where Russian troops were making desperate attempts to reinforce their vehicles. The drone provided critical intelligence, allowing Ukrainian forces to execute a precise and devastating strike. The destruction of this facility is another example of Ukraine’s ability to disrupt Russian military operations and limit their capacity to maintain effective combat vehicles.
The attack took place in a broader context of intensified Ukrainian operations. In a separate engagement, the 6th Battalion of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov” conducted a successful operation in the Pokrovsky direction, eliminating multiple Russian positions. The mission, codenamed “Earthquake,” targeted key Russian defensive positions, further weakening their frontline presence.
Meanwhile, Ukraine continues to enhance its own missile capabilities. President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the newly developed “Long Neptune” missile has successfully passed testing and has already been used in combat. With a striking range of 1,000 kilometres, the missile significantly expands Ukraine’s ability to target Russian military installations deep inside occupied territories and even within Russia itself.
The latest strike on the 155th Brigade’s workshop is part of Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to degrade Russia’s ability to sustain its war effort. The Russian military is facing increasing difficulties in repairing and maintaining its armoured vehicles due to sustained Ukrainian strikes on repair depots and production facilities. Ukrainian officials have repeatedly pointed out that Russia lacks the ability to fully restore its capabilities after these attacks, forcing its military to divert fuel and resources from civilian infrastructure to sustain its war machine.
