Ukrainian Jet Strike Obliterates Russian Pontoon Crossing in Kursk (Video)

Ukrainian Air Force aviation has successfully destroyed a Russian pontoon crossing and accompanying military equipment in Russia’s Kursk region, according to verified footage and military sources. The precision airstrike, reportedly conducted using three GBU-39 guided bombs, targeted a strategic makeshift bridge believed to be constructed over either the Seym or Psel River. The attack took place between the 20th and 24th of March.

Footage of the impact, which surfaced through the pro-Ukrainian Soniashnyk Telegram channel, shows a devastating moment when Russian military vehicles were crossing the pontoon. Moments later, a massive explosion struck the site. Strikingly, the footage was confirmed by Russian servicemen themselves, with one visibly frustrated soldier, speaking with a Caucasian accent, lamenting in the video: “I warned them ten times not to bring vehicles here.” The soldier confirms both the pontoon and the vehicles are now completely destroyed.

Visual confirmation from the video shows that at least two Russian vehicles were turned into wrecks beyond repair. It is presumed that the crews of these vehicles were killed in the strike, although no official Russian casualty figures have been released.

According to Soniashnyk, the Ukrainian Su-27 fighter aircraft was responsible for the strike and successfully eliminated two separate pontoon crossings in a single combat sortie. The second pontoon bridge reportedly lay just a few kilometres from the primary strike location.

Following the initial airstrike, Ukrainian forces coordinated a follow-up attack using the American-manufactured M142 HIMARS rocket system, which further targeted pontoon infrastructure in the area, eliminating any chance of rapid reconstruction or use by Russian troops.

In a separate development, the Ukrainian Air Force carried out another precise strike on enemy positions within the industrial zone of Tetkino village in the Kursk region on 13 April. This attack, believed to have been executed by a MiG-29 fighter jet, employed a French AASM (also known as HAMMER) precision-guided bomb.

Footage from the Tetkino attack shows a bomb piercing the roof of a sugar refinery building before detonating inside, causing an internal explosion that led to the collapse of an entire section of the structure. The damage is confirmed through aerial imagery shared by the Soniashnyk channel.
