[Video] Russia Forced to Withdraw Army Units from Ukraine to Liberate Kursk as Ukrainian Forces Continue to Advance Inside Russia

The Russian military’s offensive in the Malaya Loknya area of Kursk has stalled after Ukrainian forces successfully launched preemptive strikes against Russian columns and North Korean soldiers during their deployment. Dmitry Snegirev, a prominent military and political analyst, reported that this failure led to significant casualties among Russian personnel and the destruction of heavy armoured vehicles.

According to Snegirev, the Ukrainian Defence Forces targeted Russian positions just as they were deploying their units in the area. The strikes caused heavy losses to the Russian army, including damaged armoured vehicles and numerous casualties. Ukrainian forces have significantly disrupted the Russian offensive, with their actions marking an effective counteroffensive.

In addition, Ukrainian forces have expanded their presence in the Kursk region by about 100 kilometres. Snegirev noted that several populated areas, including Makhnovka, have been cleared of Russian military presence. Ukrainian forces continue to advance deeper into Russian-held territory, and the Russians themselves acknowledge the Ukrainian army’s progress. Some reports suggest that the Ukrainian military has pushed forward by as much as 7 kilometres.

Snegirev also pointed out the significant political and informational difficulties the Kremlin now faces. Despite Russia’s strong denial of territorial exchanges with Ukraine, there are reports suggesting that the Russian government might be considering a swap of territories, specifically in the Kursk region, for occupied Ukrainian land. This potential leak of information is believed to be a calculated move by Russia to gauge the reactions of both Ukraine and the international community.

For more than six months, Russian efforts to expel the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Kursk have failed. Instead, Ukrainian forces have not only held their ground but expanded their operational zone, continuing to challenge the Kremlin’s position in the region.
